Thats an obvious sign of adware. Adware stands for ADvertising supported softWARE and its responsible for annoying pop-up and website redirection to suspicious / dangerous / porn websites.

Tools that will remove it :

♣ Malwarebytes AntiMalware
♣ SUPERAntiSpyware
♣ Spyware Terminator
♣ Ad-Aware SE
♣ Spybot Search & Destroy
♣ HijackThis

I`d give special intention to the first 3 programs listed.

How to set/configure SUPERAntiSpyware : http://www.ecuhq.com/tested-programs-how-to-use-f32/superantispyware-how-to-use-t121.htm

HijackThis removes malicious registry keys, pretty useful for final cleaning.

How to use HijackThis : http://www.ecuhq.com/tested-programs-how-to-use-f32/hijackthis-how-to-use-t67.htm

All available at :

http://www.filehippo.com
http://www.download.com
http://www.softpedia.com
http://sourceforge.net/

You could also try going back in time, using System Restore : http://www.ecuhq.com/tricks-f6/create-a-system-restore-point-checkpoint-t28.htm

Hope it helped.

Get a good spyware/pop up blocker. Run that and a virus check.

It's a scam. Go to download.com and get Malwarebytes (it's free) and run a simple scan and it will get rid of your malware.

do a virus scan, and do not click on the pop up what so ever, that will only make things worse… if you do not have a antivirus program.. go to avg.com and get the free version, it does a pretty good job. but if that doesnt fix it, then it may require a manual removal. which would require finding all files associated with it on the computer… so pray an antivirus will find and remove it.

I know from personal happening that it is a virus.
You have two choices
1. Take it to a computer repair shop.
or 2. Call geek squad. Turn off your computer and remove the internet cable. Then again it may not be any thing but its better to check.
