We ended up somehow getting Antivirus pro. We got SpyHunter, and have scanned a few times, as well as hunted down all of the files we’ve been told to, but the popup remains. Anything else we should do?

I just bought my new laptop yesterday, and I’ve already installed Google Chrome, Itunes, and extreme firewalls and virus and popup blockers. What are some applications that will simply make life easier, or are just kinda cool?
Personally, I’d suggest using Mozilla Firefox instead of Google Chrome, as it’s more faster and can be personalized.
