I cannot stand those bubbles that popup whenever you place your cusor over a file, for example. It tells some details but they are annoying too often. How do you stop them from appearing. I did in Windows XP but I cannot remember how I did it.

Mozilla Firefox has an excellent pop up blocker. It has one built into the browser so you don't need to install additional software. I use Firefox and have not had problems with pop ups.
To enable this feature in case you have it disabled.
Menu Bar: Tools -> Content -> make sure 'Block pop-up windows' [...]

Can you get a virus, spyware, adware, hacked just by viewing a webpage or getting a popup?
And if you do have a virus like this is it possible that a antivirus program (such as McAfee which is what i have) wouldnt detect it?
